Description: Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center is at the momment seeking for Manager Wound Care (RN, OT or PT Applications Accepted) right now, this job will be placed in Idaho. Assists the Therapy Services Director to coordinate and direct the development and management of the Wound Care! & Hyperbaric Department to ensure operational, financial, compliance and clinical integrity. In conjunction with the Director of Therapy Services, coordinates compliance efforts, quality management, outcomes measurement, and market development of Wound Care & Hyperbaric Services; represents the facility and Wound Care & Hyperbaric Services in the community; facilitates ongoing educational development and training of staff. The manager may take primary responsibility for the clinical and operational management of the department consistent with the incumbent’s discipline, degree, and expertise. In that event, specific clinical and operational expectations, competencies, and ongoing development of expertise also become essential duties.

Qualifications

Must be a graduate of an accredited physical therapy, occupational therapy or Bachelor degree nursing educational program. Individual shall be certified by the respective national association (APTA, AOTA, Boa! rd of Medicine) hold current Idaho State license. To perform s! atisfactorily in this position the incumbent must possess skills and proficiency in the principles, concepts and techniques of a rehabilitation-related profession as acquired through completion of an accredited curriculum. Three (3) to five (5) years of clinical experience in specifically in the field of Wound Care, supervisory experience is preferred but not required. Must hold an advanced specialist designation and certification, through an accrediting agency, or must possess advanced /additional university/college degree, (in addition to ARN, BSPT, MPT, or DPT) relevant to the Wound Care clinical specialty, i.e. must be certified wound, ostomy, continence nurse (WOCN), or Certified Wound Specialist (CWS) certification. The incumbent must possess a working knowledge of the clinical roles and responsibilities of each discipline. The incumbent must maintain a working knowledge of management concepts, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills, in order to i! nterface effectively with staff, patients, families, physicians and representatives from outside agencies.

Must have and maintain a current CPR for Healthcare Providers certification.

This position requires that you drive a facility owned vehicle or your own vehicle. A current state of Idaho driver’s license is required. If relocating to Idaho from another state, you must obtain a current Idaho driver’s license within 90 days of making Idaho your permanent state of residence. If you are not a permanent resident of Idaho you must have a valid driver’s license from the state in which you permanently reside. In addition, if you will be driving your own vehicle 2 or more times per week for company related business, documentation of proof of liability insurance must be provided. Liability insurance must have a combined single limit of at least $300,000 or have $100,000/$300,000 coverage split. This position is subject, upon hire and annually, to an MVR re! port/analysis and driver safety education.
