Labor Delivery RN (Charge) OB and Med-Surg

Summary:

Oversees the needs and successful delivery of quality patient care on the medical-surgical and OB unit. Directs and delegates patient care assignments for nursing staff working on the floor based on acuteness of patient care needs and staff availability. Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates patient care outcomes, consults with other specialists as required and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal care.

Requirements:
Associate Degree in Nursing from a! n accredited school.
Preferred Education: Diploma or Bache! lor of Science in Nursing
Minimum Experience and Skills: two years practicing nursing, with one year in the capacity of labor and delivery.
Certification, Registration or Licensure: Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Idaho. CPR certification is required. Current ACLS is preferred or six (6) months within employment.

Physical Requirement: Walking, occasionally lifts, positions, pushes and/or transfers patients. Lifting, reaching, hand-eye coordination, speaking.

Working Conditions: Blood borne pathogens: Potential exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues and to patient elements in general. Also some work in designated office space as it relates to managerial and quality indicator reports.
