Job Summary
The Family Medicine Residency of Idaho, Inc. (FMRI) is currently recruiting Registered Nurses. Positions are full-time and are based in Boise.
FMRI is a team-based care environment providing services to the local uninsured, underserved and refugee population which creates the unique opportunity to embark on a "medical mission without the need for a passport". About our Organization - Our progressive organization operates 8 Federally Qualified Health Centers in Ada County, Idaho. We operate full-scope family medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics, infectious disease, refugee, and HIV clinics, a 340B pharmacy as well as the first school-based clinic in the state of Idaho. We also offer our patients a full suite of outpatient mental and behavioral health services.
Responsibilities and Duties

- Assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards; measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards; making or recommending necessary adjustments; following clinic and nursing division's philosophies and standards of care set by the state board of nursing, state nurse practice act, and other governing agency regulations.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; completes education-appropriate patient interventions as assigned; calling for assistance from health care support personnel.
- Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
- Documents patient care services by charting in the patientâs health record.
- Maintains continuity among nursing teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
- Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
- Maintains nursing supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies; using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Maintains a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information; responding to requests; building rapport; participating in team problem-solving methods.
- Contributes to team effort by working toward, and accomplishing, established goals.
- Provides education to team members as necessary and appropriate.
- Completes immunizations orders and responsible for immunization storage and handling, including availability to help with afterâ"hour process in the event of an outage.
- Works during evening clinics or events as directed.

- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations; completing Incident Reports and / or Opportunity Reports regarding patient complaints, workplace injuries or accidents and submits such reports employeeâs supervisor and/ or Quality Dept. staff.
- Completes assigned continued education and mandatory compliance training as assigned.
- Participates in Safety, Security and Emergency Preparedness drills and training as assigned.
- Courteously and professionally interacts with FMRI patients and the general public.
- Attends scheduled team and interdepartmental meetings as directed.
- Actively manage phones and emails.
- All other duties as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
Education:
- A.D.N. or B.S.N. from accredited College of Nursing.
Experience:
- Two years clinical practice experience required. Candidates with a combination of clinical experience and educational experience are encouraged to apply.
Licensure:
- Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Idaho, current BLS certification, and current ACLS certification.
Other:
- Meets established Credentials Committee requirements for RN scope of practice including fully credentialed, licensed and privileged as well as the ability to pass a background check.
