Location: Nampa Idaho

Description: Lactalis American Group is currently seeking to employ Occupational Health Nurse right now, this position will be placed in Idaho. Administers the occupational health program for the facility including assisting with the development, implementation and evaluation of organization safety programs to ensure a safe, he! althy and accident-free work environment.  Assists with accident investigation and provides injury/illness follow-up and trend analysis.  Administers the worker’s compensation program and complies with all recordkeeping requirements. Must be able to communicate and listen effectively to all personnel. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This includes the following, and other duties may be assigned:

1. Â Â Â Â Â Â Registered nurse with certification in Occupational Health Nursing.
2. Â Â Â Â Â Â Demonstrates a basic understanding of applicable Federal and local safety and health regulations.
3. Â Â Â Â Â Â Audits facility and activities to assure compliance with Federal and local safety and health regulations.
4. Â Â Â Â Â Â Reads and interprets documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
5. Â Â Â Â Â Â Develops, Implements, and evaluates programs ! and procedures to ensure personnel and facility safety.
6.! Â Â Â Â Â Â Applies basic statistical skills to evaluate personnel injury/illness trends.
7. Â Â Â Â Â Â Conducts accident investigation and injury/illness follow-up.
8. Â Â Â Â Â Â Assists with the development and presentation of employee safety and emergency action training.
9. Â Â Â Â Â Â Assists with basic industrial hygiene monitoring.
10.   Administers the worker’s compensation program and completes/maintains required records/reports.
11. Â Â Provides basic medical response to minor workplace injuries.
12. Â Â Administers the site first responder program.
13. Â Provides direction and information to contract physicians or health care professionals that provide medical care to employees for work-related injuries
14. Â Represents Company interests when interfacing with the Industrial Commission.
15. Â Assures equipment and areas are set-up in compliance with basic ergonomic principles.
16.! Â Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills.
17. Â Applies knowledge of computer software in Word Processing software and Spreadsheet software.
