Responsibilities:
Directs the overall care of residents in a 29-bed skilled nursing facility which includes addressing medical concerns along with behaviors resulting from psychiatric diagnosis.
Works on a full-time basis with 24 hour on-call responsibilities for regulatory items.
Participates in multi-disciplinary staffing and coordinates nursing serv! ice activities with other health-related, therapeutic and supp! ort services.
Selects, develops, and evaluates staff.
Orients staff on policies/regulations, and ensures competencies with nursing skills.
Schedules nursing staff to ensure 24-hour coverage.
Monitors accuracy and timely completion of the Minimum Data Set (MDS) and comprehensive care plans.
Reviews and coordinates appropriate admissions/discharges with outside facilities and State Hospital South's adult units.

Minimum Qualifications:
Current licensure as a Professional Registered Nurse in Idaho as defined by Idaho Code 54-1408
Good knowledge of supervisory practices
Experience assessing nursing practices for compliance with policies and procedures and recommending appropriate actions
