Under the general supervision of the Director of Educational Services, the Clinical Educator is responsible for orientation, staff development and continuing education for staff in patient care areas serving all age groups.Provides educationally sound programs and events, which meet the needs of the staff. Utilizes various tools to determine orientation, training and continuing education needs of the staff.Develops, plans procedures and programs based on measurable objectives.Evaluate program effectiveness as it relates to learning outcomes and program objectives.Develops and prepares instructional/lesson plans, instructional materials, and promotional aids. Provides orientation of new employees, which may include: General Staff Orientation.General Nursing Orientation.Contract, Volunteer, Student Orientation.Competency-based Clinical Orientation for Nurses.Provides effective inservice training programs, which may include: BLS and ACLS classes.New procedures, protocols, equipment, skill development as requested.Mandated annual education. Other required training.Acts as a resource and liaison With other departments to improve educational processes, With contracted academic institutionsâ clinical nursing experiences, With community organizations. Must possess an Idaho Professional Nurse license. Must be a BCLS instructor, ACLS preferred.
