Description: Idaho Division of Human Resources is looking of Nurse Manager right now, this position will be placed in Idaho. For detail informations about this position opportunity please read the description below. The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare is currently seeking a Nurse, Registered Manager. This position is in the Division of Medicaid, Bureau of Long-Term Care - Pocatello Regional Office. This supervis! ory position plans, develops, implements, coordinates, and evaluates the nursing complex case management and utilization review programs for the Medicaid medical assistance program.

Responsibilities:
Supervises nursing staff who perform complex case management/utilization review and are responsible for authorization of health care benefits
Selects, develops, and evaluates staff; orients staff on policies and procedures
Provides consultation and coordinates program! activities with other departments, agencies and provider/clie! nt groups to ensure program effectiveness
Participates in quality management activities
Confers with department staff on requirements and program compliance issues
Participates in long-range planning and policy development including Medicaid Reform
Maintains contact with physicians and other health care providers
Minimum Qualifications:
Licensed as a Professional or Registered Nurse in Idaho as defined by Idaho Code 54-1408 or state licensure as a Registered Nurse pursuant to the Nurse Licensure Compact, Idaho Code 54-1418, in one of the following compact states: Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, or Wisconsin.
Good knowledge of supervisory practice
Experience assessing nursing practices for compliance with policies and procedure! s and recommending appropriate actions
Additional Qualifications: Are not required, however, having the minimum qualifications and the experience and/or education below will increase your score.
Experience managing nursing staff (including coaching, managing, and evaluating performance). Typically gained by at least one year of related experience.
Experience in projects evaluating programs and program effectiveness. Typically gained by at least six months of related experience.
