The Medical Assistant (MA) works in a team environment to promote a positive experience in patient care with compassion and kindness. T! he MA supports licensed staff and Providers in providing an excellent patient experience by efficiently meeting the patient's needs. They support efficient clinic flow and communicate accurately and positively with team members. The MA works under the supervision of the physician and/or provider. Clinical oversight is provided by the Lead Nurse and/or Clinical Director of Nursing.
Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program; or prior 12/01/13 must be eligible for the AMT Registration Exam. If hired prior to 12/01/13 must complete and maintain AAMA certification or AMT Registration prior to this date. If hired after 12/01/13 must have current AAMA certification or AMT Registration. High school graduate or GED equivalent.American Heart Association Basic Life Support for HealthCare Provider (BLS/HCP) certification required.Previous clinical experience preferred. Customer service oriented attitude/behavior.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Basic com! puter knowledge and ability to use applicable software as requ! ired performing the essential functions of their job.
