Location: Idaho Falls Idaho

Description: Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center is at present recruited Therapist Physical - Pediatric right now, this occupation will be placed in Idaho. This position is responsible for initial and on going assessment related to patient condition, history, physician referral, and/or plan of care. Responsibilit! ies include direct rehab therapy intervention, based on the individualized assessment, interdisciplinary treatment plan and established priorities, for performance issues including, but not limited to:

Fine motor delays/disorders, sensory-motor integrative disorder, neuro-developmental disorder, visual-motor/perceptual disorders, motor planning/coordination disorders, strength and range of motion/joint mobility, traumatic brain injury, functional independence tasks, cranio-facial therapy/myofascial release, lymphedema, integration of central and peripheral nervous systems as related to, or impacted by injury, illness, or developmental difficulty assists in selection and fitting of wheelchairs and other DME, planning successful and effective co-treatments with other rehab therapies, developing home programs, and completing family training, as related to, or impacted by injury, illness, or developmental difficulty.

Qualifications

Must be a graduate ! of an accredited Rehab Therapy educational program in Physical! Therapy, be certified by the APTA, and hold a current Idaho State license, or eligible for same.

Preferrable: in addition to the university/college degree in Physical Therapy, must possess advanced university/college degree in pediatric related fields such as Early Intervention, Special Education, Education, Child and Family Services, Child Development, etc., and/or specialized certifications in pediatric therapy related areas.

Must maintain the standards of the professional and ethical practice in the provision of the full scope of therapy services.

Must have and maintain a current CPR for Healthcare Providers certification.

Has frequent interaction with physicians, nursing staff, other departments, patients and their families.

Must have the sensitivity, maturity, and ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
