Oversees and is responsible for all aspects of pharmacy operations such as staffing, training, home infusion patient flow and the overall patient experience at Precision Heal! thcare. The Pharmacy Director also analyzes financial, operating and clinical results; oversee budgets; coordinates policies and procedures within pharmacy and clinic.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Models strong work ethic, company loyalty and leadership
Oversees the recruitment, interviewing and hiring of staff
Leads staff training, performance evaluation, promotion and the release of associates
Manages and improves the effectiveness and efficiency of workflow
Oversees facility development and maintenance, as well as equipment acquisition and maintenance
Enhances the accuracy and relevancy of generating reports
Leads initiatives to improve operations, reduce expenses and enhance revenues
Works collaboratively with providers to ensure clinical excellence
Identifies administrative needs and develops appropriate solutions or recommendations.
Analyzes and recommends procedures and workflow improvements in such areas as purcha! sing, accounting, budget development, and administration.
! Responsibilities
Maintains records of all transactions of the pharmacy necessary to ensure accurate control over and accountability for all drugs as required by applicable state and federal laws, rules, and regulations; ensures legal operation of the pharmacy, including meeting all inspection and other requirements of state and federal laws, rules, and regulations governing pharmacy operations.
Oversees the dispensing of prescriptions for pharmaceutical preparations and devices for patients. Maintains accurate and detailed records of all prescription transactions, and submits appropriate claims for third-party reimbursement; consults with physicians and nurses regarding pharmaceutical questions; advises physicians on formulary medications and cost-effective and innovative therapies; answers pharmaceutical questions from patients and staff; monitors storage, distribution, and use of pharmaceuticals.
Provide functional supervision to professional and support staff! in their respective pharmacy, including training, assigning duties, and providing input for performance evaluations.
Possession of a valid Pharmacist license issued by the MA State Board of Pharmacy.
Education and/or Experience Bachelors degree is required. Graduate degree in business or health administration preferred.2or more years of related experience.
