Utilization Review RN

Location: Boise Idaho

Description: Qualis Health is at the momment seeking for Utilization Review RN right now, this position will be placed in Idaho. We provide web-based utilization reviews and targeted review programs based on extensive data analysis. Our focus is on patient safety and cost containment, while also leveraging our deep experience and knowledge of evidence-based protocols to deliver appropriate and optimized care. In this role, you would:

Apply InterQual and other clinical review criteria, guidelines, and screens to determine the medical necessity of inpatient admissions, outpatient procedures, advanced imaging studies, and other healthcare services.

Consult with physicians or refer cases to others, when indicated.

Consistently meet quality, productivity, and other performance metrics.

Consistently pursue continuing education to maintain professional competency.

Required Skills

A degree or diploma in nursing.

Current, active, unrestricted RN licensure in Idaho.

! Required Experience

At least 4 years of direct patie! nt care work experience (ICU/CCU, step-down, med/surg, E.D., orthopedics, internal medicine, or family medicine experience preferred ).

NOTE: There is one regular, full-time and one on-call (PRN) opening. The full-time opening is scheduled for 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday typically 8am - 5pm. The PRN opening has no set schedule or guarantee of hours. Please specify your preference when you create your candidate profile or in a cover letter.
