OPPORTUNITY HIGHLIGHTS

Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a 280 provider multispecialty group practice seeking a full time Board Certified or Board Eligible Pain Mana! gement physician to join an outpatient based practice providing medical management and interventional treatment of pain in Nampa, Idaho. This is an employment opportunity at a clinic located on the hospital campus. The work schedule is weekdays with shared back up call responsibilities.

Saint Alphonsus Medical Center â€" Nampa is part of the Saint Alphonsus Health System which includes four hospitals spanning southwestern Idaho and eastern Oregon. Saint Alphonsus Health System currently employs two interventional physiatrists, one physician assistant, one nurse practitioner and one psychologist in an outpatient pain clinic located at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center (SARMC) in Boise. This new location at our Nampa facility will work closely with the Boise pain physicians to define treatment protocols for pain management across the health system. Saint Alphonsus has developed an acute spine program under the leadership of a non-interventional physiatrist to m! anage acute non-operative spine conditions.

The ideal! candidate will have completed a subspecialty training in an ACGME/AOA accredited pain medicine program beginning after satisfactory completion of an ACGME/AOA accredited residency program ( preference given to candidates completing an accredited fellowship in Interventional Pain Management ); board certification in an appropriate medical specialty and certification in Pain Medicine recognized by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) and/or the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) ( or obtain such certification in 3 years) ; full license in Idaho and Oregon to practice medicine in all its phases and a valid controlled substance registration with the Idaho Board of Pharmacy and DEA.

Additional requirements include a strong clinical background, a capacity to lead in the creation of a new service location and an interest in developing further outreach services in western Idaho and eastern Oregon. Both medical management and interventional capacities are i! mportant attributes of a qualified candidate. The candidate will support in the recruitment of additional advanced practitioners to support the program as well as psychological services to offer a comprehensive set of services.

Inpatient EMR/Computerized Order Entry: Cerner PowerChart® is available and ambulatory EHR is anticipated in the Spring 2014.
