Madison Memorial Hospital (MMH) is seeking a confident and passionate Case Manager ? Clinical Documentation Specialist/Utilization Review RN (CDI/UR) to serve our patient demographic. Under the direction of the Executive Director ? Quality, the incumbent will be responsible for the evaluation of physician documentation utilizing clinical expertise to support excellence in documentation and ensure the patient?s severity of illness is accurately portrayed in the medical record for specificity of coding and increased coding accuracy. A valued participant for the Utilization Review Plan, the CDI/UR will function as a Nurse reviewer assessing for intensity of care, appropriateness of services and utilization of resources. Additional responsibilities and projects shall be assigned based on skillsets and availability.
Classification:
- Regular Part Time
- Monday - Friday 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Education/Certifications:
- Current RN licensure in the State of Idaho
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing, preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS), current
Experience:< /p>
- 5 Years Hospital Nursing experience, other applicable experience will be considered
- Familiarity with medical terminology and disease processes
- Cerner experience, preferred
Required Skills:
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Communicates clearly and concisely with a diverse demographic
- Analyzes situations/problems, assesses potential solutions, and recommends plans of action
- Ability to work as part of a team and/or individually
- Excellent computer skills including but not limited to Word, Excel, MS Publisher (or Equivalent) and Power Point.
